mom, foster mom, finds fart jokes funny.
"Hey Pancake-what song should we put on the blog??!!" says Mom."Candy Mountain!" Says she. And so it is . . . In the big rock candy mountain . . . :)
Are you sure she didn't mean the video with charlie the unicorn when his friends take him to Candy mountain? Shhhhuuuuuunnn... Chaaaaaaaarlie?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5im0Ssyyus
I just stumbled across your blog. I love it! I'm going to poke around, I promise to put everything back where I found it!
Someday, when is is much older, you will have to sit down with Pancake and tell her the origins of this song. How it was written and sung by hobos in the 20s and 30s that were homeless and staving and how this song was their idea of a paradise that they could never find. Whimiscal song, but also a bit sad in a way.
Queen: will watch this soon!Kate: Welcome! come again soon!Bruce: this is why I love the old timey blue grass. It is seemingly sooo simple, rhymey stuff, but if you look underneath there's all this stuff about death god love hobos...this is my favorite type of music :)and the kids will understand it all one day :)
