Then the Asian Tattooed Lady told me something weird

My involuntary crying hot bucket baby oil tears while getting my eyebrows waxed--that is documented here.

I was at the salon tonight. And I was explaining this involuntary reaction to the Asian Tattooed Lady about to rip my eyebrows a new one. I wanted to let her know it was ok. I wasn't hurting, it's just a reaction. I mean, I've birthed two babies. A little eyebrow waxing shouldn't send me into spirals. Yet there it is.

She was really cool. Hipster cool and she filled out her hipster tank top quite well. She is cooler than I will ever be.

"It's ok," She said, "it's um . . . like reflexes. Like pilots."

"What?", says I.

"I was reading once that pilots have to pass this test, this reflex test. Like some people sneeze when they look in the sun. So if pilots look into the sun, then sneeze, they can't be pilots." She says all confident and not at all ditsy.

And that was weird what she said. But, I enjoyed her saying it.
