GIVE ME A BREAK HERE

My next job, as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, is waiting for me. Just over yonder hills, past the river and around the bend.

The hills being a SIXTY page application I completed,
the river
being THAT BIG ASS CERTIFICATION EXAM I took and passed BUT WON'T GET MY OFFICIAL CERTIFICATE PROVING I PASSED,
the bend being my state license. Which I can't apply for UNTIL I GET THAT GODDAMN CERTIFICATE.

So I call, and explain to the certificate granters. I SAID, "I cannot start my new job until I have the certificate. I took the exam, which I passed, which enables me to recieve the certificate, on 8-14-2008. How long till I get the cute certificate?"

could be up to 90 days says the woman in the deep deeeep, almost un-understandable jamaican accent.

FUCK!!!!!

And now, to explain my emotional state in more better terms. Put your hands together for Cake everybody, make some noise!

  2. Hello Mr. Geology Joe:

Yes, I ordered a letter stating the certificate is pending. And I do have a water marked letter proving I passed the exam.

I hope this will speed things up.

o-btw some of my fellow home health nurses see their patients using bike transportation.

  3. I'm sure they'll find more hoops for you to jump through.

    Good grief! :(

  4. I feel your pain and frustration, Mrs. Hall... or is that Misses Hall? I get so discomfobulated until I finish my afternoon tea. Anywho, I think I will adapt Cake's song as my anthem today, too. Mind if I borrow it?

  5. Big Pissy: The hoops will never stop until I retire. I have to be recertified every five years.

In order to qualify to recertification I must publish and article, accrue 75 hours of continuing education . . . . on and on.

But, I treat my career like my kids. I will do pretty much anything for them. They are more than worth the trouble.

I will let ya'll know when I publish my first article in a real nursing journal!

    :)

  6. Mr. Earl: Cake is delicious! I love Cake most when I am feeling snarky and passive aggressive.

Mr. Tony: I do prefer the moniker Mrs. Hall.

Actually, I looked up "Mrs." and it is short for Mistress not misses. But, I am not having an affair with a married man, nor am I a dominatrix. Thus, Mistress Hall is out.

But, again, I prefer the moniker Mrs. Hall. That is who I am and I am very proud of it.

Feel free to take some cake and pass it around!!

    :)
